What makes this site even more extraordinary is that it was built by a single team member and uploaded to SharePoint without any other customizations.

One of the first things that you will notice about the Salesforce team site is how well it stands out from the crowd. This is thanks, in part, to the site’s brilliant use of color. Instead of going with the standard, gray background, the developer used a blue background to give the user a subtle, yet memorable, hint as to what’s going on in the site. Moreover, the developer decided to keep things light and fluffy by inserting a bit of humor in the site’s design.

For example, if your organization’s legal department operates on a tight budget and doesn’t have the funds to purchase expensive legal software, you can incorporate some humor in a fun bit of marketing where you ask your users if they’re looking for legal assistance and then redirect them to a scam website that takes them for a ride.

Additionally, as mentioned above, the Salesforce team site was built using Asana, an Atlassian product. One of the great things about this product is that it provides you with a ton of built-in functionality that makes it very easy to set up and operate a team site. You can also download the Asana app to your iOS or Android device and use it to access your team’s shared documents and track tasks in real-time.

The Insync team site is an excellent example of a simple and functional team site. Designed with Squarespace, the Insync team site is perfect for small businesses that want to keep their content close to the chest. The best part about this site is that it doesn’t make use of any flashy or distracting features. Everything about this site is simple and straightforward.

Take a look at the following image and you will agree that this is a well-maintained and simple to use team site. Insync uses a fairly light colored background with gray text, which makes it easy on the eyes and easier to scan information on.
