How to Market Your Business Online in the City of Nuremberg

The Nuremberg Riemeinbeezauber (Nuremberg Nightlife) Festival is an annual arts and culture festival that takes place in September. The history of the festival dates back to the late 19th century, when it was founded on a wave of cultural and artistic movements that were inspired by the “KiTeK” movement in Germany. Since its establishment, the festival has been organized and run by a non-profit association that is dedicated to supporting local businesses and promoting tourism in the city.

Despite the economic difficulties that many German municipalities have faced in recent years, the festival continued to grow in popularity. This can be attributed to the increasing number of artists, performers, and cultural organizations that participated in the event. In 2012, for example, the festival welcomed almost 100,000 spectators and launched over 100 new projects and initiatives.

Online Marketing Is Key

While we were there, we got the chance to discuss the state of digital marketing and online business in general with festival organizers and representatives from various marketing and communications agencies.

In today’s fast-paced digital world, it’s essential that businesses and organizations understand how to market themselves online. For the festival organizers, this meant creating a dedicated web page for the festival that was designed to attract potential tourists to the city. They also developed a marketing strategy to drive online traffic to the page through organic search engine optimization (SEO), social media, and paid ads.

Organic SEO is a method of optimizing a website or blog for search engines like Google based on the “natural” or un-manipulated results that the search engine provides. Essentially, this means that the marketing materials, such as the website and blog articles, are created and optimized to appear as much as possible like genuine search results. In some instances, SEO can be expensive and time-consuming, but it is usually worth it if you are dedicated to gaining high search engine rankings for your website.

The Importance of Listening To Your Customers

In many ways, marketing is about understanding what your customers want and need. A key tenet of marketing is customer centricity (or “customer focus”), which simply means that you must always put the interests of your customers in mind when creating and implementing a marketing strategy. At the festival, we were told that this is an especially crucial element to consider if you want to succeed as a digital marketer or online entrepreneur.

One of the unique aspects of the Nuremberg Riemeinbeezauber Festival is that it is a four-week long event that takes place during the city’s famous wine season. This is when we realized that we, as the public, have an interesting perspective on the event. In particular, we can offer insight into the types of activities and restaurants that festivalgoers are most interested in.

We asked festival organizers for their perspective on what types of restaurants and attractions they thought would be most attractive to festivalgoers. The responses were varied, but there were three distinct themes that emerged: food-related attractions, historical buildings and museums, and festivals and events.

The food trucks, food carts, and local restaurants took the cake when it came to the types of things that festivalgoers wanted to see. This was followed closely by the museums and historical buildings in the city. Finally, we saw a huge interest in events and festivals, especially the Sächsische Schweizertreffen, a “Swiss-German” festival that celebrates Switzerland’s German heritage. The organizers told us that this festival is the largest of its kind in the world and that it draws large crowds every year.
