Twitter skeptic? 0
by wburris
The more popular Twitter becomes, the more often I hear newbies and spectators criticizing, complaining about, or simply poking fun of one of my most favoritest(!) social media tools. I know, I know… nobody wants to hear what kind of muffin I had for breakfast (blueberry) or how regularly I move my bowels
(once a day, if I’m lucky). Luckily, that is NOT what I love about Twitter or what makes it such an indispensable business tool these days.
Still, I could not resist posting the following Twitter “roast” from the hilarious folks at current.tv, which takes some brilliant jabs at the recent Celebri-Twitter phenomenon. Please empty your bladder before watching, as this one is totally likely to induce spontaneous micturation (a.k.a. “peeing” for those of you with meager vocabularies).
One last thing: for the record, I think Twitter’s best uses are 1) crowdsourcing 2) stalking—er… “research”, 3) building relationships, and 4) the often-overlooked search engine optimization benefits. But more on that in another post. For now… have yourself a good laugh.
